This policy explains what happens to your details when you visit this website or join the Arealyse waitlist.
Who is responsible for your data

What we collect
When you join the waitlist: your email address, whether you are a renter, broker or owner, your city, and whether you asked for our news. We also keep a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, its version and the time.
The next step of the form is optional. If you fill it in, we also collect:
- Renters: neighbourhoods, budget, bedrooms, move-in month and must-haves.
- Brokers: office or company name, approximate number of active rental listings, how you manage listings today, and your phone number.
- Owners: number of properties, when the next one is available, and your phone number.
When you visit the website: the companies that run our hosting and forms may process technical data such as your IP address and browser type.
We don’t ask for exact addresses, age, income, nationality or anything about your health.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To tell renters about matching homes and our launch. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- To contact brokers and owners about listing on Arealyse. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- To send you occasional news, if you ticked that box. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- To keep the website working and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
We may show brokers and owners totals, for example how many renters want a 2-bedroom in one neighbourhood. We only show a total if it covers at least 5 people, so nobody can be identified. We never give your contact details to a broker or owner unless you choose to contact them.
Who handles your data for us
- Formspree, Inc. (United States) receives and stores what you submit in the form.
- Supabase stores your account and sign-up details if you continue with Google. Our project is hosted in the EU.
- Google signs you in, only if you choose “Continue with Google”. Google shares your name and email address with us, and nothing else. Google is contacted only when you press that button.
- Vercel Inc. (United States) hosts this website.
Because Formspree, Google and Vercel operate in the United States, your data may be transferred outside the EU. [Safeguard for these transfers, e.g. the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Confirm this applies to both providers before publishing.]
We don’t sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Renter preferences: until you tell us you’ve found a home, or until 6 months after a “still looking?” email from us goes unanswered.
- Waitlist sign-ups: until you ask us to delete them, and at most 12 months after Arealyse launches.
- Brokers and owners: while we are in contact, or until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and you can ask us to restrict how we use it or object to that use. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, which doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it. Write to [email επικοινωνίας] and we’ll answer within one month.
You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority at www.dpa.gr.
Cookies
This website doesn’t use analytics or advertising trackers, so there is no cookie banner. If you continue with Google, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for signing in and is not used for tracking. If you don’t sign in, no cookies are set. Our fonts are served from our own website, not from Google.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data, we’ll tell you by email and ask for your consent where it’s needed.
